About Us

5 teens, 1 company
Okay, okay. I hear you screaming at your computers, "Who are these people?!" Not really. We haven't bugged your computers.
DO NOT FEEL BEHIND THE MONITOR!
If you actually felt behind your monitor just then, please get off the computer for a while, take deep breaths, take a nap maybe, then continue on. To answer your question from earlier that started that entire pointless waste of your time and mine, we are five teens from Orange County, California, United States. I don't know why I mentioned that we live in Orange County. It's not like you've ever heard of it. It's not very famous or anything...
Anyhoo, we are here to bring you (and ourselves) the very best video games we can manage. However good that is remains to be seen. We mainly use freeware found on the internet to make our games, but we may stop being such cheapskates if we actually get money.
(*hint*hint* get *hint*hint* money)
"That still doesn't quite answer my question," you say? Well, fine. I'll go to the trouble of dedicading a mini-paragraph for each member's roles:

Matt
Co-Founder, Project Lead, Lead Story Writer, Lead Level Designer, Cinematic Director, Lead Programmer, Texture Artist, and Assistant Composer

Brian
Co-Founder, Assisstant Project Lead, Lead Modeler, Lead Animator, Lead Texture Artist, Level Designer, and Programmer

Andrew
Concept Artist, Story Consultant

Calvin
Lead Concept Artist, Level Designer, Story Consultant

Gary
Lead Composer, Story Consultant

Our History
BAM! Games winked into existance one blistery summer day here in Southern California (That "blistery" part was in complete sarcasm). Brian and I had just returned to school, and decided, "Hey, why not make a game together?" So BAM! Games (Brian And Matt) was formed. We just needed a game. And help. So Brian's twin brother Andrew joined. Hey! The un-imaginative acronym still worked! (Brian Andrew Matt)Now all we needed was a game. As we were brainstorming possible ideas, Calvin joined us. Now the acronym didn't work anymore, but we had already gotten used to the name BAM! Games. Then, to kick it up a notch, we brought in Gary to help compose (by "help compose" I mean he does most, if not all, of the composing). But we still didnt have a game. One day in advisement, Brian and I decided to color in the dog at the top of the reading log form. Brian's ended up looking like the offspring of godzilla and a small, hairless dog. I, however, drew cow spots on it and called it "Cowdog". And, somehow, that ended up as our working title for our non-existant game. Go figure. Since that fateful day, Project Cowdog has gone through many design phases. First it was a WWII fighting game. Then it was a WWII paratrooper game. Next came the idea for a HALO jumping game. And now, it is Battlegrounds: Frontline, a fight for freedom against aliens and humans alike in a decayed, unstable world named Earth (Ever Heard of it?)
Well, that about wraps up our short history as a company. Oh, and if you can only remember one thing from this About Us page for some reason, remember this: BUY BATTLEGROUND: FRONTLINES AS SOON AS IT COMES OUT! Semper Fi! Carry on.
